Quick answers

The camera or scanner doesn’t open

Open iPhone Settings → OvniCard and turn on Camera. If you tapped “Don’t Allow” the first time, iOS will not ask again until you change it there.

“Save Image” doesn’t work

Settings → OvniCard → Photos, then choose “Add Photos Only” or “Full Access”.

Writing an NFC tag fails

Hold the top edge of the iPhone flat against the tag until the sheet confirms. Use a blank NDEF tag (NTAG215 or NTAG216). “This tag is locked” means it was write-protected and cannot be reused. NFC writing needs an iPhone 7 or later.

A scanned field is wrong

Fields the reader is unsure about are highlighted. Tap the field to fix it before saving. Good light and one card per photo give the best results.

Moving to a new phone

Your contacts live only on your phone. Before you switch, export them as a .vcf file from the Contacts tab and import that file on the new phone.

Deleting your data

Delete a contact from inside the app, or delete the app to remove everything it stored. We hold no copy.
